The problem
‍Infi develops customized software for customers, where making an impact is key. Director Jeroen: “Essentially, we are an hour factory: we live on hours.” Susanne, financial director at Infi: “80% of our turnover comes from hours, so a good time registration system is essential for us. Before switching to TimeChimp in 2019, Infi used its own time registration system. Jeroen: “Our own system also had its limitations. We wanted a system so that, for example, project managers could better understand billing and the total number of hours worked per project”.

Switch to a single system
The Amsterdam branch was the first to switch to TimeChimp, while the other branches were still using the old system. This caused problems due to the cooperation and exchange of staff. Susanne: “Keeping track of these 'borrowed hours' was error-prone. To improve this process, we decided to professionalize it.”

The goal for Infi was clear: Infi was looking for one system to make it easier to get an overview of, among other things, cross-branch billing and project management.
The solution
‍In 2019, Infi chose TimeChimp. They were very happy with the ease of use, but wanted to make the system even better suited to their needs. Jeroen: “We wanted to solve this by using the TimeChimp API and using labels smartly. That's why we've expanded TimeChimp to our own wishes and needs, so it's now a perfect fit for us.

Easy invoicing through templates and overviews
Susanne: “The overview module makes it very easy for me to see exactly what an employee has done. I can tell whether employees have written all their hours from the self-modifiable views on the HRM page.
The handy thing is that in TimeChimp, we can create our own templates for the data we want to see on an invoice. I have a template for each location. This way, I can easily switch between the different locations while billing.” Jeroen: “TimeChimp is one of the most important systems in which we administer most of our turnover. We register hours and create invoices that go to Exact via Basecone.”

Susanne: “Combined with our tool, declaring has become a piece of cake. TimeChimp saves us a lot of time in the billing process. Invoicing is now a few clicks of work, and thanks to the accessible API, we've been able to make cross-branch billing easier.”

Browser extension for insight into billing
Jeroen and Susanne have developed a browser extension that allows employees to see how billable they are directly on the registration screen. This provides insight into productivity and allows us to manage in a more targeted manner. Jeroen adds: “With TimeChimp, we save a few days a month on financial administration. This saves a lot of time.

Financial insight via dashboards
In our office, we show the financial results of our company on screens. To make this possible, we use the TimeChimp API. This shows the weekly turnover, we get an estimate of the costs and we see the realized margin. In addition, with the TimeChimp API, we have built a function into the tool to automatically submit declarations and trips.”
